78189806 150x150 Revitol Cellulite Creams: Whats in This Stuff? Are Revitol’s cellulite products really the best out there?  Do their cellulite creams and medications work?  I recently decided to play detective and research into what Revitol cellulite creams (“Cellulite Solution”) consists of ingredient wise.

(IMPORTANT NOTE:  One thing to keep in mind when selecting a cellulite fighting product is to first know what causes the appearance of cellulite so you know which natural ingredients can work against those causes. (Don’t worry I do that here.)

So get this:  Cellulite happens because the structural walls of the fat cells begin to weaken.  When your Cellulite Skin Before and After Revitol 300x157 Revitol Cellulite Creams: Whats in This Stuff?cell walls weaken, they sag.   And sagging causes you see that dreadful “orange peel” appearance.

Since we know that weak cells produce sagging and in turn cellulite, we need something on our skin that turns things around or strengthens our skins connective tissues so as to build up those sagging cell walls.

Personally, I’ve noticed the effects of this cell wall break down (unfortunately).   And so I was quiet a motivated Revitol researcher.  Still,  I was pretty skeptical as to what I would find on Revitol creams ingredient list.

Officially Revitol Cellulite Creams discloses each of their product ingredients on their official site: Revitol Cellulite Creams.

Revitol’s “Cellulite Solution” Ingredients:

Algae Extract and Bladderwrack Extract

Yuck, seaweed!  Well, algae has natural compounds that smooth your skin.  Unfortunately it has little cellulite reduction properties.  Green algae does stimulate your body to produce collagen which is important for keeping skin connective tissue tight.   Which is why algae skin treatment is used by many spa’s.

Bladderwrack extract is a brown algae found in the Atlantic ocean.  Because of its high concentration of iodine, minerals, polyphenols, and polysaccharides.  Revitol care creams contain Bladderwrack which will absolutley help reduce cellulite because it acts as a diuretic and works to flush out the fluids trapped between fat cells that cause the dimpled effect.

Caffeine or Coffee Extract

This had me a bit confused since coffee and caffeine actually promote cellulite build up by impairing circulation.  But as it turns out researchers say that cellulite creams using caffeine actually reduces fat content in skin cells by blocking enzymes from entering the cells that slow down fat breakdown.   Revitol’s ingredients Green Tea and Kola Nut are also caffeine related.

Capsicum Extract

According to research capsicum increases blood flow and cleans out toxins and improve the bond between connecting tissue.  Cellulite is a result of weak connections.  Capsicum and caffeine combined work well to increase blood circulation and skin regeneration.

Green Tea Extract

Revitol uses green tea extract because of the theobromine which is one of its active compounds.  It is an alkaloid that after being absorbed into the skin causes the release of stored fat.  As previously mentioned it also contains caffeine, another cellulite reduction agent.

Retinol A

Sometimes referred to as retin-A this ingredient is a derivative of vitamin A and promotes skin elasticity and new prodution and repair of connective tissues.  Weak connective skin tissue is a big part of why cellulite appears.  When the skin absorbs Retinol A it stimulates the production of collagen (a protein responsible for building connective bonds within the skin).  The result is stronger skin with less dimples.

Horsetail Extract

Inside of horsetail is a wonderful supplement called silica.  It really makes improvements on connective tissues in terms of production and repair and also gives it more elasticity.  Remember the older we get the less elastic our skin becomes.  Horsetail keeps skin more elastic.  Non-elastic, sagging skin needs this ingredient.

Shea Butter

Even though all the ingredients above already absorb into the skin, shea butter just makes it much easier.  It allows the skin to absorb all the cellulite fighting ingredients above.  Its a common skin softener as well.

So, Revitol cellulite creams have utilized natures best skin extracts.   By the way an extract is produced by steaming and then collecting the raw active chemicals and reducing then solidifying them to increase their potency.

So, suffice it to say my research showed me why Revitol offers the best cellulite cream products on the market.  Nivea or Trilastin creams don’t offer anything close to the cellulite destroying ingredients that Revitol includes.

Other Revitol Cellulite Creams ingredients:  (didn’t look at all these yet…)

Purified Water, Squalene Oil 99%, Glycerin, Safflower Oil,  aVitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin E Acetate, Triethanolamine, Dimethicone, Disodium EDTA, Panthenols, Tricaprylin, Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Gotus Kola Extract, Horse Chestnut, aFennel Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Grapeseed Extract, Inositol, Germal II, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Carbomer.

781898061 150x150 Revitol Cellulite Creams Compared to Dermology and CelluleanThis Revitol cellulite cream review offers a comparative look at one of the most popular and arguably the best cellulite reduction creams and lotions for 2012: Revitol’s Cellulite Solution.  Specifically, I took a look at how Revitol compares to Dermology and Cellulean on Dec 16, 2012 to be current.  All of which are very popular in the Spring and Summer months as women everywhere look to smooth out their skin before they jump into their bikinis.

Revitol’s cellulite creams contain all natural ingredients that don’t end in “ethanol, alcohol, oxide, sulfate, etc”.   Once you make that distinction you eliminate most of the other cellulite creams out there.

I’ve read several cellulite cream review sites post this opinion:

“There are so many different cellulite creams for sale today that it’s almost impossible for consumers to be able to decide which cream is best!” .

In reality there really isn’t that many legitimate cellulite treatment creams to pick from.   After testing or comparing the creams ingredients, consumer reports, and user feedback you’re left with three cellulite products.  All three have been pretty well time tested and represent the most popular topical cellulite reduction products currently on the market.

Revitol Cellulite Cream vs. Dermology and Cellulean:

#1 Revitol:

Revitol’s cellulite creams and medications referred to as the “Cellulite Solution” is not the final solution to Revitol Cellulite Test Click here 150x150 Revitol Cellulite Creams Compared to Dermology and Celluleanovercoming the appearance.  There’s a few other issues cellulite sufferers should address that contribute to cellulite i.e. age, diet, exercise, genetics, etc.  However, topical solutions like Revitol can help reverse that sagging skin problem especially if you work on a few of the other contributing factors.

Obviously I picked Revitol cellulite cream as #1 since this is a Revitol website.  But I chose them over Nivea, Trilastin, Cellulean, Dermology, Dermitage because of the total ingredient package that Revitol offers.   By the way I did a due diligence on cellulite cream ingredients in the “Revitol Cellulite Creams” category.

#2 Dermology:

This product also does a good job at attacking the problem where it resides: UNDER THE SKIN.  The claim is that they use all natural ingredients without residue or odor with visible results in a few weeks.   Unlike Revitol’s official site, Dermology doesn’t dedicate a page to listing the ingredients.  Unless you actually buy its a bit difficult to really know what’s inside of Dermology’s cellulite cream.

The basic and most important ingredients Dermology offers is Retinol A which is derived from Vitamin A and caffeine.  Both have shown to increase blood flow and strengthen the weak bond that fat cells walls have that are responsible for the dimpling appearance.  Dermology also markets their cream for reducing the appearance of stretch marks.

#3 Cellulean:

Cellulean’s treatment cream Active Cellulite Solution is a serum that contains many additional and piles more of the same ingredients than even Revitol.   The claim is 3x’s more in fact.  Ingredients are similar to that of Revitol including:  green tea, sea weed, antioxidants, liposomes, peptides, vitamins herbs, botanicals, etc.

Cellulean’s serum has just got a lot of stuff in it.  But in the end both Revitol and Dermology have more long term and better consumer reviews and support.  Feeback is either up or down.

But the folks it has worked for almost scream Cellulean in their product reviews as if they had won the lottery:

It’s working for me! I have used, well, a lot of these ‘anti-cellulite’ lotions and creams.  In my opinion most either smell bad, cost too much for the amount you actually get.  In the end I decided just to try one more cream before giving up… Cellulean worked!

If you’re looking for clinically proven cellulite creams you won’t find much of any hard facts.  It’s best to get the best natural ingredients that people have used for centuries backed by independent study.   It’s just a little hard to scientifically measure results of any cellulite cream for one so most companies tend to use consumer feedback or testimony to legitimize their claims.

Please contribute any insight or experiences you have had that may point to the best cellulite cream on the market.  Comments are ‘do follow’.
